The ACS Waiver, or Alternative Community Services Waiver, is a program that provides in-home supports for individuals with developmental disabilities so they can live as independently as possible in the community of their choice. It is a Medicaid funded program that provides services such as direct care, case management, respite care, transportation, adaptive
equipment, supported employment and more. To be eligible for waiver services a person must have a diagnosis of Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down
Syndrome, Intellectual Disability, Seizure Disorder, Spina Bifida or some other similar disability as long as the disability occurs prior to age of 22. There is no age limit to this program.
To apply, an individual or their family must fill out an application which places them on a waiting list for the service.
